Overview
This one-year live patient implant course is designed for beginners or dentists with limited implant or oral surgery experience who want to safely expand their clinical scope. The programme focuses on delivering evidence-based, predictable implant treatment using participants’ own cases, building confidence in patient assessment, planning and execution. It is structured to provide a strong foundation in implant dentistry while prioritising safety, clinical judgement and long-term treatment success.
Structure and learning experience
The course is delivered across 16 modules over 12 months through seminars, practical sessions and supervised live surgical training on patients. Delegates complete 8 live surgery sessions under expert mentorship, alongside dedicated Level 1 and Level 2 CBCT training to strengthen diagnostic confidence and compliance with current radiographic guidance. Learning extends beyond scheduled modules through ongoing mentorship opportunities, including additional patient days and in-practice support, ensuring continuous development throughout the implant journey.
Clinical focus and outcomes
Training centres on patient selection, digital treatment planning, surgical preparation and safe implant placement, supported by a deep understanding of adjunct therapies and diagnostics. Participants learn operative fundamentals such as surgical setup, anaesthesia, flap design, suturing and perioperative protocols, reinforced through live demonstrations and supervised model practice. Graduates leave able to plan and execute implant cases with greater predictability, deliver safer patient care and integrate implant treatment confidently into everyday clinical practice.
