Overview

The Level 7 Certificate in Advanced Dental Implantology is an advanced programme designed for dentists who have completed our Implant Year 1 course (or a comparable certificate) and want to elevate their clinical expertise to confidently manage more complex cases. Building on foundational implant training, and delivered in two parts, the course combines comprehensive online learning, 4 intensive clinical skill days, and structured mentoring within a postgraduate curriculum accredited at Level 7 and aligned with the latest standards set by the College of General Dentistry.

By the end of the programme, delegates will have completed 20 mentored implant cases from placement through to restoration, developing the confidence, competence, and clinical judgement required to deliver implant treatment independently in clinical practice.

Part 1: Online Theory Programme & 4 Clinical Skill Days

Part 1 combines an online theory programme with four clinical skill days at Tipton Training. Through the online modules, you will develop your knowledge of advanced topics including socket preservation and GBR, sinus elevation, growth factors and hyaluronic acid, soft tissue management, digital workflows and guided surgery, overdentures and All-on-X concepts, short and long implants, ceramic and subperiosteal systems, as well as complication management and peri-implantitis.

These principles are then reinforced during the 4 clinical skill days, where you will gain hands-on experience in full-arch rehabilitation, overdentures, soft tissue management, and digital planning with guided surgery—ensuring you are equipped with the skills to plan and execute complex implant treatments confidently and safely, expanding your clinical offering and patient outcomes.

Part 2: Live Surgery Mentoring

Part 2 focuses on live surgery mentoring, where delegates are required to complete 20 implant cases as part of the course. There are three options available to suit your clinical setting and learning preferences:

Mentored live surgery at Tipton Training, where delegates complete all 20 cases under expert supervision from placement through to restoration.
Mentored live surgery within your own clinic, allowing you to develop your skills in your own working environment while being supported by a Tipton Training mentor.
A fast-track surgical week in Egypt, offering an intensive programme designed to accelerate clinical experience, during which delegates complete a minimum of 15 implant cases under close expert guidance in a focused, high-volume setting.

Level 7 Certificate

To achieve the Level 7 qualification, delegates must complete the online modules and assessments and fulfil the chosen practical placement requirements. Upon successful completion, participants are awarded a Level 7 Certificate in Advanced Dental Implantology approved by EduQual and accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England - a recognised postgraduate qualification that reflects rigorous academic and clinical standards.

Covers the use of intra-oral, lab, and face scanners alongside CBCT, guiding you through digital implant planning and the principles of guided surgery to support accurate and predictable treatment outcomes.

Covers the principles and indications of overdentures in both the upper and lower jaw, including key retention concepts, alongside the concepts, indications, and advantages and disadvantages of All-on-4, All-on-6, and All-on-8 treatment approaches.
