The Level 7 Diploma in Implant Prosthodontics is designed for dentists seeking to build the clinical skills and confidence to provide safe, evidence-based implant treatment with a strong restorative focus. Combining key concepts from both restorative dentistry and dental implantology, the programme emphasises predictable outcomes, comprehensive patient selection and sound treatment planning. Delegates gain practical experience through seminars, demonstrations, live surgical sessions and guided clinical application that ensure techniques learned can be applied directly in practice.
Structure and learning experience
Delivered across a blend of face-to-face training days and online sessions, the diploma consists of 29 modules, including 25 face-to-face and 4 online modules. Training incorporates seminars, practical workshops, live patient surgery days and interactive Zoom seminars, creating an immersive environment that balances theory with hands-on experience. From foundational restorative principles through to implant placement and restoration, the structure supports continuous skill development alongside clinical work.
Clinical focus and outcomes
The programme covers core aspects of both restorative dentistry and dental implantology to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills needed for safe, predictable treatment of their own cases. Restorative grounding includes occlusion, articulators, TMJ splints, basic tooth preparations, introduction to endodontics and periodontics and treatment planning, while the implant component emphasises patient selection, treatment planning and implant placement/restoration techniques. With focused live patient surgery training, participants develop not only procedural capability but also the clinical judgement required to integrate implant and restorative care in everyday practice.
Level 7 Diploma
To achieve the Level 7 qualification, delegates complete a structured programme of modules, assessments and practical experiences integrating restorative and implant prosthetic competencies. Upon successful completion of all required modules and assessments, delegates are awarded the Level 7 Diploma in Implant Prosthodontics, along with the constituent Level 7 Certificate in Restorative Dentistry and Level 7 Certificate in Dental Implantology, all accredited by EduQual and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This reflects internationally recognised postgraduate standards and confirms advanced clinical capability in implant restorative dentistry.
