Overview
The Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Dental Implantology provides comprehensive training in surgical and prosthodontic implant techniques, covering occlusion, treatment planning, and hard and soft tissue surgery. Designed for dentists looking to expand their skills from simple to complex cases, the Diploma integrates the Level 7 Certificate in Restorative Dentistry, the Level 7 Certificate in Dental Implantology (Year 1), and the Level 7 Certificate in Advanced Dental Implantology (Year 2) into one structured postgraduate pathway.
Certificate in Restorative Dentistry
This course provides the essential foundations for successful implant training, focusing on occlusion, treatment planning, and core restorative principles. Delivered over 12 months, it includes 15 modules that develop clinical knowledge in a structured way. Training covers occlusal assessment, articulators, TMJ management, endodontics, periodontics, and comprehensive treatment planning, alongside hands-on experience in crown preparations, composite restorations, veneers, and bridgework—supporting predictable, long-term outcomes.
Certificate in Dental Implantology (Year 1)
This course establishes a strong grounding in implantology, combining evidence-based theory with hands-on training over 12 months, including 8 days of supervised live surgery. Delegates develop skills in patient assessment, digital planning, CBCT interpretation, surgical protocols, restorative techniques, and implant prosthodontics. It is ideal for dentists new to implant dentistry, building confidence to deliver safe and predictable treatments. Delegates must complete 6 mentored implant cases from placement to restoration.
Certificate in Advanced Dental Implantology (Year 2)
Building on the foundation from Year 1, this part of the Diploma advances delegates’ capabilities to manage more complex implant cases. This year is split into 2 parts. The first part combines 10 comprehensive online modules with 4 clinical skill days covering socket preservation, GBR, sinus elevation, guided workflows, overdentures, full-arch concepts, complications, and peri-implantitis.
Part 2 focuses on live surgery mentoring, requiring 20 implant cases, with three options:
Mentored live surgery at Tipton Training's facilities
Mentored live surgery in your own clinic by Tipton Training mentors
A fast-track surgical week in Egypt (minimum 15 cases)
Additional fees are involved for the three live surgery mentoring options listed above. Please contact us for more information.
Level 7 Diploma
To achieve the Level 7 Diploma qualification, delegates must complete a structured programme of modules and assessments, alongside the required practical placement and clinical case requirements.
On successful completion, delegates are awarded the Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Dental Implantology, along with the Level 7 Certificate in Restorative Dentistry, the Level 7 Certificate in Dental Implantology, and the Level 7 Certificate in Advanced Dental Implantology.
