Overview
The Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry is an intensive one-year programme created for dentists who want to expand their clinical scope and deliver a wider range of advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. Designed to build on existing foundations in occlusion and tooth preparation, the course equips clinicians with the practical skills, technical understanding and confidence required to deliver high-quality aesthetic results that meet modern patient expectations while supporting professional and financial growth.
Structure and learning experience
The programme is delivered through a blended learning format comprising 18 modules across 12 months, including 13 face-to-face training days and 5 live online Zoom sessions. In-person days combine seminars, practical workshops and live demonstrations, while online sessions reinforce theory and preparation between modules. Guided by experienced Tipton Training tutors, participants benefit from structured teaching, hands-on application and mentorship that bridges clinical knowledge with real-world practice.
Clinical focus and outcomes
The curriculum spans both clinical and non-clinical disciplines essential for modern aesthetic dentistry, covering smile design, laboratory communication, clinical photography, veneer preparation and cementation, bleaching, advanced composites, facial aesthetics and digital smile design workflows. Graduates leave able to confidently integrate advanced aesthetic techniques into everyday practice, deliver consistently high standards of care, improve patient satisfaction and expand the range of treatments they can ethically and predictably offer.

Certificate options
Level 7 Certificate
To achieve the Level 7 qualification, participants must complete a series of assessments, including Direct Observation of Performance (DOPS), reflective write-ups, clinical portfolios, treatment planning assignments and multiple-choice examinations.
On successful completion of the course and all required assessments, participants are awarded a Level 7 Certificate in Restorative Dentistry accredited by EduQual and The Royal College of Surgeons of England. RCSEng centre accreditation is recognised as a mark of excellence, and we are proud to be the first and only private training provider to hold this distinction.

Non-Level 7 Certificate
Participants who choose not to pursue the Level 7 qualification may enrol on the non-Level 7 pathway.
This option does not require completion of the formal assessments. Instead, participants receive a Tipton Training Academy Certificate of Attendance accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This pathway does not confer a Level 7 qualification from EduQual.
