Dr. Louise Mackenzie (Birmingham)

New Dental Therapist Course - starts Spring 2010

Tipton Training has developed a new course specifically for Dental Therapists. The course aims to increase the practical skills and knowledge about the treatment areas which the Dental Therapists can provide.
With the government introducing changes in who can provide elements of dental care for patients in an effort to control costs and increase efficiency, the opportunity for Dental Therapists to become more involved in delivering certain aspects of clinical treatment increases.
By increasing the skills and exposure to a broader range of clinical methods, the opportunity for improved team work and efficiency between Dental Therapist and Dentist can be exploited.   The course helps build a better partnership and understanding between the Therapist and the Dentist to deliver better value treatments for the benefit of the practice and the patient.
The course will be run by Dr Tipton and his Associate Dentists from his purpose built Phantom Head lecture facility situated just five minutes from the M1 / M62 near Leeds, at M1 junction 39.
Why Should Dental Therapists Attend?
Attending our Dental Therapist course will increase your understanding of best practice and enhance your skill levels enabling you to undertake a wider range of work and increase your practice contribution.
Over two thousand dentists have been through Tipton Training courses.   Being Tipton Trained will enable you to work more effectively with these dentists, will increase your value and contribution to your practice and, will differentiate you in your continuing professional development.

Why Should Dentists Send Dental Therapists On The Course?

If you have been on one of our courses, you will understand how important teaming with a Therapist who understands the latest methods and approaches can be to your practice. Sending your Dental Therapist to be Tipton Trained reduces the training burden on you, freeing up your time to treat patients.
Whether working in the NHS or privately, being able to delegate certain aspects of clinical treatment to Tipton Trained Dental Therapists can help you manage costs to increase the profitability of your practice.
Building teamwork based upon a shared understanding of best practices with a Tipton Trained Dental Therapist can significantly increase the productivity of you practice allowing you to deliver excellent results, at better value, to more patients.
