All New Dental Hygienist Course - starts Spring 2010
Tipton Training has developed a new course specifically for Dental Hygienists. The course will cover a wide range of topics designed to enable the Hygienist to integrate more fully into the Restorative and Aesthetic Dental team.
As the role of the Hygienist in the NHS changes with the blurring of the Therapist and Hygienist roles, many Hygienists may seek more work from the private sector and will need to improve their clinical work and communication skills.
The course aims to increase the contribution which Hygienists can make by increasing their exposure to best and emerging dental practice and building skills specifically in periodontal work.
The Dental Hygienist often has the opportunity to see a patient more frequently than the other member of the practice. The course helps to increase the Hygienist’s ability to spot potential dental issues in patients and their ability and confidence to talk knowledgeably to the patients about potential remedies which can be provided by other disciplines. By attending the course, Hygienists can significantly increase their value and contribution within the practice.
The course will be run by Dr Tipton, his Associate Dentists, Geoff Sharpe Specialist in Periodontics and, Maggie Jackson an experienced hygienist tutor with many years experience of private practice. The course will be held at the purpose built Phantom Head lecture facility situated just five minutes from the M1 / M62 near Leeds, at M1 junction 39.
Why Should Dental Hygienists Attend?
Attending our Dental Hygienist course will increase your understanding of best practice and enhance your skill levels in periodontal work, enabling you to increase your income by undertaking work within the practice which may otherwise have been outsourced to specialist periodontal practices or specialists.
Over two thousand dentists have been through Tipton Training courses. Being Tipton Trained will enable you to work more effectively with these dentists, will increase your value and contribution to your practice and, will differentiate you in your continuing professional development.
Why Should Dentists Send Dental Hygienists On The Course?
Often the Hygienist within practice can have the most regular contact your patients. A Hygienist who has been Tipton Trained has a greater understanding of the treatments available and is able to sell the benefits of more private cosmetic and restorative work for you and the practice.
As well as increasing the revenues earned by the Hygienist function within your practice, a Tipton Trained Hygienist can use a broader range of skills to undertake additional work in parallel with you, increasing your productivity to administer more value adding work to additional patients.
Sending your Dental Hygienist to be Tipton Trained reduces the training burden on you and can increase your sales, making their attendance on this course a sound investment for your practice.
