I travelled over to the Czech Republic over the weekend to meet with Dr Joe Smada, world famous biochemist and immunologist who has a clinic just outside Prague. As ever, at this time of year, we're surrounded by advice on protecting yourself from colds and virus and even more so as swine flu continues to develop and spread in more harmful forms. I don't really need to reiterate the imortance of ensuring your own immune system is working at its peak all year round but I also see it as our duty of care to our patients to make sure we provide them with the best options for their general health where we can. I've been coming to see Dr Smada for my own personal programme for a number of years and have referred patients to him prior to my treatment to make sure they get the best result possible.
I'll be discussing the possibility of him coming to my new clinic in Leeds next year to offer consultations and also take referrals.
